Mini Halftone Halloween Treat bag

Hello Friends!  It's already September and Halloween is right around the corner!  I don't know about you but, I need to get my spooky crafting in full swing!  Today I'm sharing a quick "Trick or Treat" goodie bag!  I need to make lots of these little gems for all the cute little ghouls and ghosts that will soon be visiting!  This is also a Design Team project for Inspiration Emporium!
To start with I stamped a spiderweb and spider on a small 3 x 4 kraft paper bag using Jet Black Archival Ink.
Then added some splatters with watered down Picket Fence Distress Paint and dried with a heat tool.
I cut a strip of mixed media cardstock an 1.5 x 11, then colored with a combination of a Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Rusty Hinge Distress Inks.
I added a few splatters with Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Rusty Hinge Distress Spray Stain and dried with a heat tool.  For an added touch to the strip, I stamped a fun chevron design with Jet Black Archival Ink.  Folded strip to create a band around the kraft bag and snipped the excess on end into a < then distressed edges with bone folder.
I'm loving the new little mini halftones!  They're fun two-part stamping that makes great silhouette and colored images!  I stamped the owl silhouette with Rusty Hinge and the circle silhouette with Fossilized Amber Distress Inks then went behind with the outline owl and stamped with Jet Black Archival Ink onto Ranger Mixed Media Cardstock.  I cut out the stamped images.
For my calendar background, I colored some Ranger Mixed Media Cardstock with Twisted Citron & Crushed Olive Distress Ink…it's a great tone on tone color combo!
Then I stamped the October calendar with Jet Black Archival Ink and cut out.  Then distressed the edges with a bone folder.
I ended up stamping "trick or treat" on kraft bag in the upper left hand corner with Jet Black Archival Ink…it just fit perfectly!  I fitted the band around the bag with a little room to expand for candy then layered the moon, calendar and owl.
You can find most of the supplies I used at Inspiration Emporium via the links below.  Remember to use my coupon code - vintagemuse - to save 10% on your order.  That wraps it up for me, I hope you enjoyed todays project!  As always thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next time!
