12 Tags of 2015 {My August Version}

Hello friends!  Today I'd like to share my August version of Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2015.  Tim Holtz has a great tutorial on his blog with step-by-step instructions on how to create this fun technique here.  I followed Tim's instruction, I just used different dies.  This is also a DT project for Inspiration Emporium.
I had so much fun with this mixed media technique, I hope you give it a try!
I think this one might just have to live in my Travelers Notebook!
I hope you enjoyed todays project!  You can find most of the supplies I used at Inspiration Emporium. Flowers For You!

Hello Friends!  Happy Monday to you, hope you had a great weekend!  I'd like to share a quick thank you card I made.  I tell ya, I just can't get enough of those birds!  Now that I have the Crazy Things & Crazy Talk to go with my Bird Crazy stamps….oh my...there's no stopping me!  Did you hear that Tim Holtz and Sizzix are going to release Crazy Things Thinlits dies, they're going to coordinate perfectly with the stamp set!  It's on my "Must Have" list, when they become available!  This is also a DT project for Inspiration Emporium.
 To start with, the mesh background was White Embossed onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I did some watercoloring on the mesh background with Distress Inks and a Waterbrush.  Then to add a little more texture, I applied some Hickory Smoke with the Distress Marker Spritzer.
I stamped my bird on Distress Watercolor Cardstock and die cut with Bird Crazy Thinlits.  Then I stamped the flowers on Distress Watercolor Cardstock and cut them out with scissors.  I like to do my coloring, after I have my pieces cut out for my bird.  I applied color to my bird and flowers, using various distress inks.
 I stamped the "Thank You" banner with Jet Black Archival Ink.  The cute little bow, is one of the new Tim Holtz Sizzix punches.  It was punched from a piece of scrap and attached with a long fastener,  that had been distressed.
 From this angle, you can see the dimension of my bird and flowers a little better even though I used a very low profile foam squares.
You can find most of the supplies I used at Inspiration Emporium via the links below.  Remember to use my coupon code - vintagemuse - to save 10% on your order.  That wraps it up for me, I hope you enjoyed todays project!  As always thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next time!
