Birthday Card

Today, I would like to share a birthday card I recently made for my Dad.  You know all those fun ATC classes I hold, well this is what I do with a lot of them.  I turn my ATC's into greeting cards.  All of the stamped images are Tim Holtz stamps.  I used a kraft cardstock base for my card.  I used a combination of Bazzill Kraft and Tim Holtz Kraft Core cardstock for the rest of my card.  To get that worn distressed look on the Kraft Core, just use a Sanding Grip on the color side of the paper.  It exposes some of the kraft base and remove some of the color and you get a really cool distressed look.  I shaded all the edges of my paper pieces and distressed with a bone folder.  The arrow is a Studio Calico Wood Veneer (you can never have too many wood veneers, lol)

Thanks for looking :)

Trinket Box

I hope everyone had a great Father's Day!  Up today, I have the last of my projects using Crate Paper's DIY Shop Collection.  I used 2 Sizzix dies and chipboard to form my box & stand.  The first  Cupcake Stand & Pennant die 657728 made a great base and the second is Square Box die 658058, it is really quite large once assembled.  You can used both of these dies alone or use as I did and stack them for a totally different look.  I used the chipboard, ephemera and paper from the collection.  Then I added some Tim Holtz pieces and a few Studio Calico wood veneers.

I shaded all paper pieces with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Ink and a blending tool.  Then distressed the edges with a bone folder.

You can find everything used to create this fun trinket box at The Scrapbooking Studio.  Thanks for looking, give it a try :)

DIY Shop Tag

Hello, Hello :)  Today I have a vintage tag I made for The Scrapbooking Studio.  I used Crate Paper - DIY Shop ephemera pieces and chipboard.  I also used a manila tag that I colored with Tim Holtz Stains (Wild Honey & Scattered Straw).  I shaded the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Ink and a blending tool with foam.  To finish it off I added a Tim Holtz Custom Fastener & Mini Paper Clip, also a Studio Calico wood veneer with bling.

Shine...

Happy Friday, Bobbi here, today I'm sharing a layout I did with Crate Paper's - DIY Shop.  Notice how the colors in today's layout are more subtle than yesterday's layout, but still from the same collection.  I love how there is little bits of shiny gold goodness in this line, I am really liking the gold trend right now.  For this layout, I trimmed some of the pattern papers down and also used several pieces from the ephemera pack in the collection, as well as some of the chipboard pieces.  I shaded the edges of all my paper, chipboard and wood veneers with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.  I then distress all the edges of the paper pieces with a bone folder, you could also use a distressing tool.

My wood veneers are from Studio Calico.  I covered my wood veneer geo tag with gold WOW glitter. Then I added a few Stampendous Frantage Gilded Mica Fragment Flakes, to step up the gold to the next level.

Lastly, I stamped the wood veneer banner with gold pigment ink and American Crafts 5th & Frolic Collection stamp set.

You can find the products I used for this layout at The Scrapbooking Studio.  I hope you give it a try!  Thanks for looking :)

DIY Shop...

Here is a layout I did using Crate Paper's - DIY Shop as a Design Team project for The Scrapbooking Studio.  This line has a very vintage feel and the colors are great.  I used a handful of the patterned papers, the ephemera pack and the chipboard as well, all from the collection.  I cut all my pieces down as needed, then I shaded around all edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.  After shading, I distressed my edges with a bone folder, you could also use a distressing tool.

I also used a few of my wood veneers from Studio Calico.

I encourage you to give it a try!  You can find this collection at The Scrapbooking Studio.
