Candlelight Merry Christmas Card...

Hello friends!  I'm back today sharing another project that I created for the Tim Holtz Holiday Inspiration Series.  This Candlelight Merry Christmas Card was created using new and rereleased Tim Holtz Sizzix Seasonal dies.  Let me walk you through how I put it together.
To start with, I painted a thin layer of white gesso on 2 sheets of Mixed Media Heavystock.  After dried, I applied a light wash of various (green) Distress Paints to 1 of the gessoed Heavystock.  Then applied a coat of Distress Collage Medium Matte to both the gessoed and Distress Painted Heavystocks and let air dry.  This will allow the Distress Crayons to blend well.  I die cut the candles from the gessoed (white) Heavystock and the Festive Greenery from the (greens) Distress Painted Heavystock.
I colored the berries with Candy Apple Distress Paint and a small brush, then air dried.  I applied various colors of Distress Crayons to all cutouts to achieve more color and shading.
I used Metallic Distress Crayons to add a bit of shimmer and sparkle.  It's hard to translate thru the photos but, in person it creates a beautiful sparkle and shimmer!
I die cut the Retro Merry Christmas from gold Metallic Kraft cardstock.  I assembled the card to kraft card base and layered mats with gold Metallic Kraft Cardstock and the Christmas Idea-ology Paper Stash.
I hope you'll give it a try!  You can find the supplies I've used via the links below.  If you have any questions please let me know I love your comments, I truly appreciate each and everyone of them!  As always thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next time!  xx

Winter Wonderland Christmas Card...

Hello friends!  Hope you're having a wonderful day!  I'm sharing another of my projects in the Tim Holtz Holiday Inspiration 2017 Series.  Christmas is going to be here before I know it, so I'm continuing to work on my Christmas cards.  This one is a fun wintery scene, I think the Ice Skates pair perfectly with the Simple Snowflake background.
Let me walk you through how I put it together.  To start with I embossed a sheet of Distress Watercolor Cardstock using the Simple Snowflakes Texture Fade.  Then sealed front of embossed cardstock with Distress Collage Medium and let air dry.  I also sealed another plain sheet of Distress Watercolor Cardstock with Distress Collage Medium and let air dry.  Doing this allows the Distress Crayons to blend nicely on cardstock.  I die cut Festive Greenery from sealed Distress Watercolor Cardstock.  I colored all the Festive Greenery and embossed Simple Snowflake background with shades of blue Distress Crayons and blended with my finger.  To add a touch of shimmer I applied a little Metallic Distress Crayon and I just love the sparkle…and they blend beautifully.
I die cut the Ice Skates using grungeboard, but you could also use mat board.  I colored the Ice Skates with Distress Paint.  Then did a little sanding to distress surface a bit.  I laced the skates using waxed string.
I cut my A2 card base from kraft cardstock.  Then layered with distressed brown Classic Kraft, silver Metallic Kraft and embossed Simple Snowflake background.  I assembled the Ice Skates/Festive Greenery and attached the word "Joy" from the Holiday Talk Metallic Stickers.  It's a shimmery winter wonderland...
