Scrapping Our Stash-February Blog Hop

Hello, hello!  It's that time of the month where we scrap our stash, with Practical Scrappers!  You should have arrived here from Sandy's blog - if you didn't you may want to go back and check out all of the wonderful inspiration!  This group of ladies are so talented and always are full of fabulous ideas!  For my project, I decided to do a mixed media Tim Holtz cabinet card.
This was a project I had originally started and didn't like the way it was turning out so I sat it aside and went on to something else.   I ended up giving my butterfly, a good coat of gesso and started over again.  I pulled out some colors from the background paper and went from there. The raised surface on the butterfly is a stencil and texture paste.  I used a combination of several colors of distress paints listed below and added drips and splatters.  I distressed several pieces of idea-ology and added remnant rubs as well.
I hope you enjoyed my mixed media cabinet card , now it's time to hop on over to Wendi's blog!  You can find all the supplies I used at Inspiration Emporium via the links below.  Remember to use my coupon code - vintagemuse - to save 10% on your order.   If you have any questions or if there's anything I missed please let me know I love your comments, I appreciate each and everyone of them!  As always thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next time!
