Hello friends! Hope you're having a wonderful day! I'd like to share my October version of Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2016. Tim Holtz has a wonderful tutorial on his blog with step-by-step instructions on how to create this spooky fun technique here. I'm really loving this awesome remix of his Patchwork Collage and Sizzix Monster techniques! I had to improvise a little so here's my take on it! The Sizzix Monsters are on my wish list, I had better hurry and get them...they will soon be retired!
I ended up using the #10 Manila sized tag as my base. I just needed a little more room to create for this one. I mixed a little bit of paper stash, ephemera and stamping for my background. All my metal pieces also received a little Mushroom Alcohol Ink.
I just can't even express to you how much I love the Distress Crazing Medium with Distress Crayons together! I don't think I will ever tire of it ;)
I don't have the "Day of the Dead 1" Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz stamp set…yet {wink}, but I think it would've been perfect on the Headstone as well. I stamped the skull image on some vintage book paper. Then cut out, applied Distress Crazing and Distress Crayon to give aged appearance as well.
I hope you enjoyed todays project! You can find the supplies I've used via the links below. If you have any questions please let me know I love your comments, I truly appreciate each and everyone of them! As always thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next time! xx
LOVE that you did the frame with the rivets...so cool! And love that broom. Gorgeous take!
