Compendium of Curiosities 3, Challenge 5!

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a project that I did for the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge III hosted by Linda Ledbetter.  Challenge number five is a technique found on page 39 of Tim Holtz's Compendium of Curiosities Volume Three book.  If you don't have this great book you can find it here and Tim Holtz will even sign it for you!!!  This challenge is sponsored by Inspiration Emporium who have a wonderful gift voucher to give away to one lucky winner. Also, the Curiosity Crew Pick wins a fabulous pack of goodies from Tim and Mario!  Now,here is my take on this "Distressed Watercoloring" challenge.
Now, while I can't give the details of the technique that was used, I can tell you the supplies I used for the tag.  The colors I used on my tag were:  Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon, Salty Ocean, Gathered Twigs, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed and Mowed Lawn.
The stamp sets that were used were Tim Holtz Tattered Elements CMS018, Mini Ornates CMS064, Shabby French CMS087, Classics #7 SCF007 and Bird Feather CMS180.  I used the Frameworks Trellis die and cut out Tim's Watercolor Paper glued to Grungeboard.  I also used several different idea-ology pieces and some Remnant Rubs.  I finished my tag off with a ribbon of hand dyed seam binding.
I hope you enjoyed my tag, thanks for stopping by and we'll see you next time!

  4. Delicious, delicious, delicious tag! I adore your color choices and aren't you so clever to use the inside pieces of the frameworks die to stamp and watercolor as well? I love that! May have to swipe that idea. Brilliant!
